Location: San Francisco, CA
Client: San Francisco International Airport
Role: Lead Analyst/Project Manager
As the lead analyst of the Charles River Associates team that modeled the effectiveness of various demand management measures at reducing delays at San Francisco International Airport (SFO), I developed new models and modified existing models used to perform as-needed analyses of various demand management strategies. This included a substantial analysis of the impacts of potential airline schedule changes on weather-related delays at the airport. My additional responsibilities included production of reports and presentations used in communicating results of analyses to the client.
Later, while at Steer Davies Gleave, I managed an update to the weather-related delay analysis mentioned above. The project focused on estimating the delay reduction potential of key demand management measures, and the results were used by the Airport Director in policy discussions with policymakers at the federal and state levels as well as airline executives.
